Pinterest projects, anyone?
I tried one of the many pinterest projects I had seen and I have a review. Has anyone else see this pin http://whynotdoityourself.tumblr.com/post/17254235216/great-use-for-those-coffee-creamer-bottles? The coffee creamer bottle reused as a snack dispenser. Brilliant, right? I thought it would be great for our road trip and easy enough. But... I am going to give it a thumbs down. The dispenser hole is great for liquids, but way too small for dry snack items. It was so frustrating trying to get cereal or little snack items out of this spout. Sorry pinterest.

Shoe La La
(Birthday Party Planning)
The theme for this year is Shoe La La, if you haven't see or heard of this book, you must not have a 5 year old girl in your house. It really is quite precious.
Of course the crafter in me loves that these girls end up crafting their own shoes, which is, of course, what we will be doing at her party. I am sourcing cheap China style Mary Jane shoes on ebay for the girls to craft with. I will also be buying big obnoxious sunglasses, boas and tiara type headpieces as well as zebra decor.
And I am possible going to make or buy this style of cupcake (picture taken from Michael's in Canada).

Peg Doll Wedding Topper
Okay, so I have been painting peg people for a while now. I was inspired by so many other crafters out there, but I definitely try to keep my own designs and originality. I love details. And as my dear friend J was getting married, I offered to make her my first official cake stand with peg bride and groom. And I added a cute little bunting in their wedding colors. Perhaps in next time I will add a tutorial for the bunting and poles in the cake stand. I love how it turned out. Here's pic of the Pegs on their stand before I added a cute hair bun to the bride.
